At this year’s Electric Trucking Conference in New York City, ECC was proud to help spotlight the bold strides being made toward a zero-emission freight future.
On the Policy and Regulatory Support panel, Barry Carr (Clean Communities of CNY), Lauren Kesner-O’Brien (Empire Clean Cities), and Melissa Evanego (NJ DEP) shared timely insights on current and upcoming funding opportunities for commercial EV deployment and infrastructure expansion. Their discussion highlighted the urgency, and achievability, of building a cleaner, more resilient freight network across the Northeastern region. Zach Miller, ECC board director and Vice President of Government Affairs at the Trucking Association of New York (TANY), lent powerful perspective in the session "Accelerating the Transition to Electric Trucks." Drawing from industry experience, he emphasized the necessity of cross-sector partnerships to scale zero-emission freight solutions, particularly across the Northeast corridor. ECC remains committed to advancing advanced fuel technologies, infrastructure investment, and policies that accelerate a clean transportation future. Photo Credit: Zach Miller |
