DRIVE Electric USA
Mission Electric is a participating partner in the Drive Electric USA project. DEUSA works to break down barriers to EV education, awareness, and adoption, building statewide efforts to accelerate the purchase and use of EVs of all sizes by residents and fleets. New York State has an extensive network of EV advocacy groups, and we're now working with local communities to develop new chapters.

About Drive Electric North Country and Drive Electric Ithaca
Drive Electric North Country:
Mission Electric is collaborating with the Adirondack North Country Association (ANCA), a 100+ year old non-profit providing community services throughout the Adirondack Mountain/North Country region of New York State. Clean Communities of CNY is a member of ANCA, and DEUSA2 partner National Grid sits on the ANCA Advisory Board. Our team attends ANCA's annual meeting and regional Clean Transportation meetings, and exhibited at an EV ride-and-drive event with ANCA at the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY.
Barry Carr, Director of Clean Communities of CNY, is working with ANCA to host a series of organizational meetings for the proposed chapter.

Drive Electric Ithaca
Mission Electric is collaborating with Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE Tompkins), founded in 1894 and expanded statewide in 1955 to educate underserved communities across New York. Based in Ithaca with 54 additional community offices statewide, CCE Tompkins has worked with Clean Communities of CNY for over 20 years on Earth Day outreach, EV ride-and-drive events, and EV technician training.
The greater Ithaca area, home to two major colleges, also includes many rural, low-income communities. It's served by DEUSA2 partner Avangrid through its subsidiary NYS Electric and Gas Company, which is working with the Mission Electric team to organize this new Drive Electric group. We also assist TCAT, the local transit authority, on a NYSERDA Clean Transportation Prize project connecting EV bike share, EV car share, and electric shuttle service to low-income residents of Tompkins County.
